Maxi Valvona - Revolve [MCSL012]

The 12th release on microCastle sees Ad Brown under his Maxi Valvona alias with a two track EP and a great set of remixes. This release will cap off one of the most successful years that any producer on the brink could hope to have. In 2009 Ad Brown has had no less than 20 productions and remixes on various top labels including: Black Hole, AnjunaDeep, Silk Royal and Enhanced just to name a few. Revolve is on of Ads biggest productions to date with its monster bass stabs, awesome drive and another mesmerizing breakdown that he seems to be able to top with each production. Peppermint is a deep prog groover with some sublime piano work which would be well-suited for the earlier part of a club night.

microCastle is pleased to announce the formation of a new production super group. Dousk, Kassey Voorn & Speerit who are 3 very well-established greek producers in their own right have joined forces as Mojawi This Revolve remix for microCastle is their first official production together and we look forward to many more! The trio have transformed Maxis original into a cool, deep groove with lots of added original vocal elements making for what we feel is one of the finest remix productions on microCastle to date. Early support on this mix comes from John Digweed, Nick Warren, Laurent Garnier, Eelke Kleijn and Jerome Isma to name just a few.

Finlands Matti Heininen and Erkka Lempiainen return to microCastle under their Komytea alias for a second remix. This duo is also known for their work under the mysterious & heartfelt Michael Cassette project, Squash 84 and Oire. The duo have turned a really thick, mean and chunky rendition of the Original. The bass stabs and overall bottom end is truly rib cage rattling. Every die hard dance music fan will recognize the trademark Komytea production here but just how do they get those sounds so massive?

Los Angeles Darin Epsilon gives us the final remix on the Revolve package. Darins production work has been growing in popularity over the last year as he has appeared on top labels such as: Perfecto & Baroque. On his Revolve remix Darin has turned in a deep bottom heavy groover that has already found favour with Jody Wisternoff & Miss Nine. Nice atmospherics and a massive club friendly bottom end are what make this mix so great and accessible to a wide range of dancefloors.
