Kaspar Kochker - Weekend At Moonlight / Happiness [KEY002]

Coming off our first massive release, we present another monumental EP that is sure to garner fantastic support across the board!

For our second installment, we present a high energy EP from none other than Kasper Kochker. Hailing from Latvia, Kasper has long been involved and captivated by Electronic Dance Music and has recently begun to make several amazing musical contributions to the scene, not to mention his numerous releases on top notch labels such as Nellie Recordings! Implementing his musical background and innate ability to weave the elements of progressive house and trance, he has certainly created a very special sound. We are also proud to include a top notch remix from Toronto bred David Akermanis. Recently showing himself at the top of his game, David has been gaining support from a slew of "A" list artists, and we are more than happy to have him on the label!

The EP starts off with Kasper's "Weekend at Moonlight", a funk infused progressive banger that is sure to get the dance floor moving. Using vast layers of beautiful arppegiating synth work, and slamming percussion, this track is sure to give people a proper workout! We then transition into his second original on the EP, "Happiness". Following the theme of the previous track, Kasper again shows us how he can take a variety of sounds and create a beautiful cohesive piece of progressive house with "Happiness". When we first received this track we thought it was brilliant, but lacked a certain element that was holding back its full potential. Resident A & R and label owners, Shipstad and Warren took the track into the studio to polish it up a tad, and the outcome? Well...we think it speaks for itself :). The track has a fantastic build that creates great fluidity and provides an immense atmosphere for anytime of the night!

Lastly, we feature a truly proper remix of "Weekend at Moonlight" from David Akermanis. Turning in a slightly more grooving house variation on Kasper' original, the track really gets the night rolling using a very organic approach that makes the track seem so perfect for an early hour track. An amazing remix that really gives the entire release a full and well rounded sound!
